In search of is a new feature this year!
We get a lot of email asking us if we know about this or know how to contact that person, etc... We don't know everything, but we do know that YOU and our site visitors may know.
So if you know how to help someone find what they are looking for, email your answer to insearchof@thesoulpitt.com so we can get it to them or email us so we can get your "In Search of" posting out there in our next "in search of" soul blast!
WOW! You all should be proud of yourselves for reaching out and helping folks that are searching for someone or something. We received a ton of emails and phone calls answering the "in search of" questions that were presented in our soulblast on Feb 13th! We thought these people and others may need to know right away so we decided to send the responses back out today.

I have a gas fireplace without a chimney that got red tagged by the gas company because there was a slight odor of gas leaking. I need someone to come out and check it before I can operate it again.
Don't know if you have tried this already, but if you call the gas company
they will check it again. My furnace gave off a faint smell of gas, I thought
it might be sewer gas cause it was barley detected. I called the gas company anyway and they came right out. Needless to say, they tagged my furnace. Fortunately I had a neighbor that came down and fixed it. I then called the gas company back and they lit my pilot and gave me a radon detector. My situation turned out well. Please be careful with gas problems. Try to see if you can't get a vent if not a chimney for your indoor fireplace.
