Public Allies Pittsburgh/Coro Center
for Civic Leadership
Public Allies selects our communities' most promising young leaders, ages 18-30, who commit to a rigorous and rewarding ten-month program of full-time, paid apprenticeships in community organizations, team service projects and weekly leadership training.
If you are a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident between the ages of 18-30 with a high school diploma or GED, committed to improving your community, Passionate about social issues, interested in working with a divers group of people, and ready to learn and grow, Public Allies is for you!
- 10-Month Paid Non-Profit Apprenticeship
- Public Allies is a full-time commitment for ten months.
- Allies receive a stipend (between $1350-1850 a month), health insurance, child care, interest-free student loan deferment, and a post-service education award (currently, $4,725) that can be used to pay off past student loans or fund future education.
