George Westinghouse High School alumni, current students, and east end community members will gather for GWHS Alumni Benefit Basketball game - Saturday, June 7, 2008 at the Westinghouse gymnasium. The class of 1998 will play the current class of 2008.

The class of 1998 hope to raise awareness of the current state and future of Westinghouse High School and to build networks and expand resources to increase the communication between students and alumni. “We are truly excited about this event and look forward to utilizing the game as a way to connect with current students,” states Derrick Tillman Westinghouse High School Class of 1998 committee member.
 
Part of the proceeds of the game will benefit a former class of 1998 Westinghouse High School standout basketball player, Kenneth Alford, who was tragically killed in May of 2006. The class of 1998 will use proceeds donated to contribute to a savings bond for Alford’s son who he left behind.
 
The game is being sponsored by Westinghouse High School Class of 1998.
It is one of several events being held as a part of their ten year reunion.  
 
 
 
The Class of 1998 is a diverse group of Westinghouse alumni who take pride in Westinghouse High School and are committed to working together to provide support for current and future students.
