Public Allies Pittsburgh, an AmeriCorps program and partner of the Coro Center for Civic Leadership, identifies our city's most promising leaders, at least 17 years of age from diverse backgrounds and creates opportunities for them to strengthen their communities through apprenticeships in nonprofit organizations.

In our 10-month program you will work full time for a nonprofit organization addressing critical community issues, and develop your own leadership skills through regular trainings delivered by community leaders. Join our network of thousands of young leaders already making careers out of making a difference.
  
 
PROGRAM BENEFITS
  • Earn a $5,350 AmeriCorps Service Award
  • Receive $1,400 per month
  • Acquire weekly leadership development training

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO BE A PUBLIC ALLY:
  • You must be at least 17 years of age,
  • have at least a high school diploma or GED,
  • be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident,
  • have a passion for community service
